Welcome to the new website for Tradpots, traditional hand
Thrown  pottery by Mark Baker. Based at the
Courtyard Craft Centre just outside Poole in Dorset,
Tradpots specialise in pots, gifts and crafts made with traditional pottery methods.

We sell a great selection of clay, terracotta and ceramic pots, vases, pottery and giftware.
We also run regular pottery classes so that you learn all about traditional pottery techniques.

Mark was always fascinated with pottery, one of the oldest skills learnt by mankind,
so on leaving school he trained as a production thrower at a local pottery in Poole,
learning all about working with clay, terracotta, and ceramics.
After twelve years Mark then started out on his own and Tradpots was born.
At first he made the pots at home, selling his vases, pots, and giftware at craft fairs across
Poole, Dorset and the whole of England before finally moved into the Courtyard Craft
Centre in January 1991.
